Coffee Morning

Saturday 10.30am to 12 noon
There is a coffee morning every Saturday in All Saints Church except in August. Each week a different person or group takes on organising the coffee morning to raise money for a charity or cause. Some weeks there’s lots going on with all sorts of stalls and activities and other weeks there is a quieter café atmosphere. Whatever type of coffee morning it is you are always guaranteed a warm welcome, a steaming cup of tea or coffee, juice for the children and some homemade cakes or scones.
If you want to fundraise for a cause or charity then get in touch with us to discuss organising one of our coffee mornings.

Luncheon Club

Every Monday 10.30am to 12.30pm
Newton Hall Lunch Club is a long-established group, first set up in the early years of the estate, and our main purpose is to be a social gathering for senior citizens. This is the place to meet and make friends.
We gather in the hall at All Saints Church on Mondays, from 10:30 to 12:30. A two-course meal is served at 11:30, followed by tea and biscuits.
The food is supplied currently at £3.50 per head. There is an additional £1 to cover the running costs of the club, eg condiments, milk, tea, biscuits, napkins, etc etc, including a birthday card and a cup cake for everyone on their birthday. Any remainder goes into the funds. There is also a raffle, everyone brings a small prize and wins one in return. Thus the raffle is really free but everyone pays £1 which also goes into the funds.
The money we raise is used in three ways. We have a free-on-the-day meal during the summer, at a venue such as Washington Waterfowl Park for example. We also have a free-on-the-day “Christmas Fayre” meal early in December at a local hotel and our last meeting of the year is also a Christmas dinner. Thus all of the money paid in goes back to the members one way or the other.
If you like the sound of all this and you wish to come and give us a try, please contact Malcolm Fraser on 0778 870 3593
