3pm Sunday 7 June 2026 - History in the making

It was an absolute privilege for us to join the huge congregation at Durham Cathedral last Sunday to witness the installation of Rick Simpson as Bishop of Durham. The bells pealed as we all took our seats, the organ sounded spectacular & the harmonies of the cathedral choir were amazing. It was a very moving & uplifting service. At 3.35 pm there was a very long applause & cheering for the Right Reverend Rick Simpson as he was duly enthroned and installed as our Bishop.
